The Tomato That Sang

One sunny morning, Matheo and Kilian were playing in the garden behind their cozy little house. Matheo was digging in the dirt looking for worms, and Kilian was pretending to be a chef, making mud pies. Suddenly, Matheo spotted something shiny near the tomato plants. "Kilian, come look!" he called. Kilian ran over, and there, among the tomatoes, was a small, golden trumpet lying on the ground.

"What is a trumpet doing in the garden?" Kilian asked, scratching his head. Matheo picked it up carefully. "I don't know, but it looks magical!" he said. He gave the trumpet a little toot, and to their surprise, one of the tomatoes on the plant started to wiggle! "Did that tomato just... move?" Kilian whispered. Then, the tomato spoke! "Thank you for finding the trumpet. I've been waiting for someone to play it!" the tomato said with a cheerful voice.

The boys could hardly believe their eyes. "You can talk?" asked Matheo. The tomato nodded. "Yes, but only when someone plays the golden trumpet. My name is Tilly, and I've been stuck on this plant for so long. Would you help me?" Tilly asked. "Of course!" said both boys at the same time. Tilly explained that she wanted to leave the garden and see the world, but she needed their help to travel.

Matheo carefully picked Tilly the Tomato from the plant and placed her in a little basket. They decided to take her back to the house first. "But tomatoes get squished easily," Kilian said. "How can we keep her safe?" Matheo had an idea. "We can make a soft little bed for her in the basket using some cotton and cloth!" They worked together to make the coziest spot for Tilly. She wiggled happily in her new bed.

"Now what do you want to do first, Tilly?" Kilian asked. Tilly thought for a moment. "I’ve never been to a party before. That sounds fun!" she said. Matheo clapped his hands. "We can make a party just for you!" The boys ran to the kitchen and began baking a little cake for the celebration. Kilian stirred the batter while Matheo decorated the table with colorful napkins and balloons they found in a drawer. Soon, the cake was done—a tiny one just the right size for Tilly.

When the party was ready, they placed Tilly in the middle of the table next to the cake. Matheo played the golden trumpet again, and Tilly began to sing a happy and cheerful song. Even the birds outside the window started chirping along! The three of them laughed, clapped, and danced around the table. It was the best party anyone could remember, and Tilly looked so happy to finally have friends to celebrate with.

As the sun began to set, Tilly yawned. "Thank you for the best day ever, Matheo and Kilian," she said. The boys smiled. "You're welcome, Tilly," Matheo said. They placed her back in her soft little basket and promised to take her on more adventures the next day. As they drifted off to sleep that night, they could still hear the faint hum of Tilly's song, carried by the wind outside their tiny house. And they all dreamed the happiest dreams.
