The Sunbeam's Gift

Once upon a time, on a soft sandy beach, there was a little girl named Latisha who loved the warm sun on her face. She was making castles and talking to the seagulls, her laughter as bright as the shimmering sea.

One sunny morning, Latisha spotted something sparkling near the water. She ran towards it, and found a pair of glasses with shiny frames. "These must belong to someone," she said, looking around. She saw an old man named Zihon searching for something, his hands patting his pockets.

Latisha walked over to Zihon and tapped him gently with her small hand. "Are these your glasses?" she asked. Zihon's face lit up, and he chuckled, "Oh, my dear, you have found my most precious glasses! I couldn't enjoy the beauty of the beach without them."

To thank her, Zihon reached into his bag and pulled out a small, wrapped present. "I've been holding on to this, waiting for someone kind to come along," he said, smiling. Latisha opened the present with excitement. Inside was a tiny sailboat, its sails bright and colorful like the beach balls scattered around.

Latish and Zihon spent the rest of the day together. Latisha showed Zihon her sandcastles and introduced him to her seagull friends. Zihon shared stories of the sea and taught Latisha how to let her sailboat catch the breeze. As the sun said goodbye, painting the sky in orange and pink, they promised to meet again, same time, same place, with more smiles to share.

That night, Latisha cuddled her sailboat and closed her eyes, the waves whispering lullabies. She learned that a simple act of kindness could make a big difference. And so, in dreams of sailboats and sunbeams, Latisha sailed into sleep, knowing it's nice to be nice with everyone.
