Once upon a time, in a sunny corner of the pond, lived a duck named Daisy, a crocodile named Coco, and a frog named Freddie. They were the best of friends and loved to play from sunrise to sunset. But one thing puzzled them: they had never eaten broccoli before! "What does broccoli taste like?" they all wondered.
One bright morning, Daisy quacked excitedly, "Let's have a banquet tonight, and we can all try broccoli!" Coco clapped her scaly hands, and Freddie ribbited in agreement. They decided that each would bring something special to share, along with the broccoli.
All day they prepared for the banquet. Daisy brought soft, squishy bread from the baker's by the pond. Coco, with her big smile, carried juicy fruits that she had gathered from the far side of the pond, where the sun kissed the trees just right. And Freddie? He brought the best flies from the lily pads, although he wasn't sure if his friends would like them as much as he did.
When night fell, the stars twinkled above as the three friends sat down to feast. Daisy laid out the bread, Coco placed the fruits in a big, colorful pile, and Freddie nervously offered his flies. Then came the moment they had all been waiting for: they each took a bite of the green, tree-like broccoli.
They chewed thoughtfully, exchanged glances, and then burst into laughter. "It's crunchy, it's tasty, it's fun!" they all agreed. The broccoli was a hit! The banquet went on with giggles and stories, and they shared everything, even Freddie's flies (Daisy and Coco were nice and pretended to like them).
As the moon rose high, their bellies full and hearts filled with joy, they realized something very important. It didn't matter what they were eating; it was the kindness and the sharing that made their meal so delicious. From that night on, they decided to have many more banquets, always trying new things and always being nice to one another, because that was the best treat of all.
