The Tumbleberry Gift

One soft night, a little dog found a red present by the bed. The present had a green bow, and it smelled like a sweet strawberry.
The dog wagged his tail and gave a tiny woof. Inside the present was one shiny strawberry and a small ticket to the circus.
Far away, happy music went toot-toot, and the circus lights blinked like sleepy stars. The dog picked up the ticket, but then the strawberry began to wiggle.
The little dog put one paw on the shiny strawberry. Pop! It opened like a tiny red door. Inside was a warm golden glow and a little giggle. The dog sniffed and smiled, because the glow smelled like jam and sunshine.
Then a teeny-tiny voice called, “Hello, brave pup! The circus needs you!” A small silver key rolled out of the strawberry and stopped by the dog’s paw. The circus music grew louder, but the dog did not know what the key could open.
The little dog saw a tiny music box under the bed. It had a moon on top and a keyhole shaped like a star. He put the silver key in and turned it slowly. Tink, tink, tink! The music box opened and played a soft circus song.
Out came a little toy train with bright yellow wheels. “All aboard!” said the teeny-tiny voice. The dog hopped on, and the train rolled gently to the circus. There were kind clowns, sleepy elephants, and bunnies with blue hats. Everyone cheered, “Hooray for the brave pup!”
The dog gave the shiny strawberry to the circus, and it turned into a big, sweet cake for everyone to share. Then the music box train took the dog back home. He curled up by the bed, warm and happy, with the silver key beside him. Soon he was fast asleep, dreaming of soft lights, happy songs, and strawberry cake.
